What is the ECO scheme?

The ECO scheme is a boiler-related Government grant that was launched in January 2013. This scheme was introduced to try and reduce the UK’s energy consumption and provide financial assistance via grants to low-income households to help them become more energy efficient.

The scheme falls under the Government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO). Under the ECO boiler scheme, your old boiler could be replaced for free with a completely new premium boiler.

Sounds great, right?!
